Welcome. We are a group of Anglican Christians belonging to the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA), working towards the launch of a new Anglican church. Our current membership stretches from San Leandro to Pittsburgh. Everyone is welcome. Our first group meets on Sundays from 4:30 - 6:00 for fellowship, worship, and bible study. We have a Eucharist service on the first Sunday of every month. On other Sundays, our worship is led by lay members.
All our group members are actively inviting others to "come and see". We invite people to come and grow spiritually with us while they discern if this ministry is one in which they want to be involved. We are following the strategy of New Anglican Church and planting a network of small groups before attempting to launch as a parish. We began our first small group in Orinda in July, 2009.
As we grow numerically we will establish more groups and begin having monthly all member meetings for fellowship and worship. When we have grown sufficiently, we will enter pre-launch mode and undertake the work of organizing the many ministries included in a church. In the meantime we are a parochial mission of St. James Anglican Church. St. James, located in San Jose, provides us with administrative support, accounting support, risk management and mentoring. St. James, and we, are affiliated with the Anglican Diocese of Pittsburgh and The Anglican Church in North America (ACNA), which are a part of the Worldwide Anglican Communion.
